We are by nature emotional beings and while this allows us to experience fulfilling relationships and to meet our goals in life as well as to realize the richness of being alive, it can also lead to inner turmoil and conflict that can result in a range of symptoms including depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, obsessive-compulsive behavior, addictions, and relationship problems. Chronic medical conditions can also be impacted by our emotional wellbeing. As has long been known, the mind and the body cannot be separated from one another. Just as our bodies influence our minds, our minds have an impact on our bodies.

Our earliest experiences of difficult relationships with parents, insufficient parenting, divorce, early neglect, abuse, loss of a parent or other forms of trauma can disrupt emotional, social, and academic development and can also exacerbate existing chronic medical conditions.

The treatment services that I provide offers a safe, nonjudgemental, and confidential environment to discuss and explore underlying sources of conflict and other forms of emotional distress that can interfere with meeting one’s goals in life and living as satisfying of a life as one possibly can.
